Experience Manager (XM) - RCE (CVE-2025-53691)

CVE-2025-53691 is a deserialization of untrusted data vulnerability in Sitecore Experience Manager (XM) and Experience Platform (XP), affecting versions 9.0 through 9.3 and 10.0 through 10.4. This flaw enables attackers with low privileges to achieve remote code execution (RCE), potentially allowing them to take full control of the affected system. Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to severe compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Sitecore environment.

Attackers exploit the Sitecore deserialization vulnerability by sending crafted POST requests to URLs containing /-/xaml/ with parameters such as __SOURCE and __PARAMETERS to trigger remote code execution via the AjaxScriptManager.
