## Description

OpenCode is an open source AI coding agent. Prior to 1.0.216, OpenCode automatically starts an unauthenticated HTTP server that allows any local process (or any website via permissive CORS) to execute arbitrary shell commands with the user's privileges. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.0.216.

## CrowdSec analysis

[CVE-2026-22812](https://euvd.enisa.europa.eu/vulnerability/CVE-2026-22812) is a high-severity vulnerability in OpenCode, where versions prior to 1.0.216 start an unauthenticated HTTP server that allows arbitrary shell command execution with user privileges. This flaw enables any local process or malicious website (via permissive CORS) to execute commands, potentially leading to full system compromise, data theft, or further attacks.

CrowdSec has been tracking this vulnerability and its exploits since 18th of February 2026.

CrowdSec has not observed any significant exploitation activity targeting CVE-2026-22812 across its network. As a result, no community-driven trend analysis is available for this vulnerability at this time.

Attackers exploit unauthenticated access to the `/session` and `/session/{session_id}/shell` endpoints, allowing them to create sessions and execute arbitrary shell commands remotely.
