## Description

N-central versions < 2025.4 are vulnerable to an XML External Entities injection leading to information disclosure

## CrowdSec analysis

[CVE-2025-11700](https://euvd.enisa.europa.eu/vulnerability/CVE-2025-11700) is an XML External Entities (XXE) injection vulnerability in N-able N-central versions prior to 2025.4, which could allow attackers to exploit the flaw for information disclosure. By leveraging this vulnerability, a threat actor with limited privileges could access sensitive data from the affected system, potentially exposing confidential information and increasing the risk of further attacks.

CrowdSec has been tracking this vulnerability and its exploits since 10th of December 2025.

Insights from the CrowdSec network reveal that the attackers trying to exploit CVE-2025-11700 are composed of a fairly even mix of opportunistic and targeted actors. Some attackers employ preliminary reconnaissance, while others use indiscriminate scanning.
Telemetry from the CrowdSec network also shows that exploitation activity for CVE-2025-11700 remains steady week-over-week. Attack volumes are consistent with long-term trends, indicating sustained interest from threat actors. CVE-2025-11700 continues to be an active part of the threat landscape and will likely remain this way for the forseeable future.

Attackers exploit the `/dms/services/ServerMMS` and `/dms/services/ServerUI` SOAP endpoints by submitting crafted XML payloads containing external entity references, aiming to trigger XXE and exfiltrate sensitive data from vulnerable N-central instances.
